COURSE DESCRIPTION: Senior Leader and Medical Staff engagement is one of the key factors linked to good hospital wide quality outcomes. When presented with the right data, on the right platform, improvement opportunities and sustainment can be readily identified. This session will provide tools and strategies that will promote engagement with senior leaders and medical staff members.

Who should attend: RNs, LPNs, RRTs, Social Workers, Case Managers, Healthcare Leaders and anyone interested in quality healthcare


  • The attendees will understand how to gain the trust of senior leaders and medical staff.
  • The attendees will identify tools and strategies for engaging senior leaders and medical staff with data

Nursing- 1.0 contact hours will be awarded for this offering by the Louisiana Hospital Association for complete attendance of the program. The Louisiana Hospital Association is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing- CE provider #39.

CPHQ- 1.0 CPHQ CE credits will be awarded by the National Association of Healthcare Quality.

Required to obtain continuing education credits:  1) Attendance at entire conference and 2) Completion of pre/post test questions.  No partial credit awarded.  Please dial on time.

About the speaker: Portia K. McDaniel

Experienced Quality professional with a demonstrated success over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, initially as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Case Manager in both private sector and government healthcare agencies. She holds a degree in Nursing, from the Grambling State University of and is a Lean Green Belt Trained Professional.

The presenter has disclosed that there is no conflict of interest with this educational activity.
